Workshop 3.

The third and final workshop held by Richard Sweeney was aimed at geometric shapes, and using them to create forms. For this you could use any shapes with a odd number of sides, ie. triangles and  hexagons. To join the shapes together you need tabs, the best way of creating these is to make a line and use a compass to form an equilateral triangle with tabs, as shown below.

The tabs make the shape so simple to put together, I have used a stapler but u could use glue, tape etc. I also have the tabs sticking out but you could have them pointing inwards and it would more like a ball. I could use honeycomb as a primary research to develop this piece.

The inside of the ball.
